Did you know we offer one on one fully targeted tuition? As a bespoke jeweller I know that everyone is individual with their needs. Big classes in academies are not always the best way to learn or offer what is important to you. Expensive courses can be generic and cover topics that are not always of interest or use to you, skipping fields that you really want to learn. Some schools leave necessities to the end as a carrot to keep their attendance high, I have experienced this myself. Others promise a diploma which isn’t a qualification. The focus here is learning what you need to know, not how much student finance we can fleece from you. We can accommodate with residential stays, groups for pleasure, and leisure. For businesses sending a member of staff can free up workshop time and improve productivity. Situated in Essex just off the M25 and near to The London Underground we are accessible and flexible.
Starting out, topping up your skills or exploring a field you have always wanted to try we cover everything from soldering, polishing, mount making, setting, wax carving, enamel, design, CAD whatever you want to do. I have industry experts to sharpen your skills and give you the knowledge to move forward. A few days in my studio can be far more beneficial to your skill set than a year in an academy. I have students that will certainly vouch for this.
While we do not offer student finance, there are many options for funding your training. PayPal offer 0% funding to eligible customers, flexible payment plans can be done in house, and discounts are offered to groups of 3 or more.
Past students have been for many reasons. We see many returning for extra courses, and have brought friends and colleagues to us.
Case Studies:
JL owns an established jewellers and out sourced repair and reworks. A week in the summer with one on one tuition she is now able to do many of these jobs in house saving money and time. Profit is better on each job and customer expectations are exceeded with time scales of completed works.
EC signed up for a years HND at London based British Accademy of Jewellery. After two days in their workshop and classroom he realised that it wasn’t the course for him. Over the last six months he has been coming to me for one on one tuition and is delighted with the amount of work he can manufacture. We have covered more manufacturing than BAJ students do in three years. All at a fraction of the cost of three years and at a pace which suited his needs. EC had excellent design skills and wanted to expand his design to manufacturing which he’s done with flying colours.
HD came for one day after a failed self teaching on YouTube. After wrecking some of her vintage pieces that she wanted to restore we spent a day one on one mastering finishing and polishing. Delighted with her day not only has she the skills to move forward with her side hustle, we fixed the but he’d victims of YouTube.
