EQUIPMENT

My studio is fully equipped with individual Durston work benches.  Equipment available includes micro welder (Aquaflame) Dado Laser welding, Gravograph engravers, XTool F1 laser engraver, Durston Roller, Vice and draw plates, Magnetic polisher, various bench polishers, pendant drills, micrometers and a large quantity of hand tools.

FACILITIES & FREEBIES

Free Wifi, unlimited tea, coffee and selection of soft drinks. The biscuit jar is always full these are free for you to help yourself during the day.  Free onsite parking. Our bathroom facilities have recently been refurbished, there is a step into the bathroom assistance may be required for accessibility.  Last of all not forgetting Ralph the workshop cat and our two yard dogs Fin and Lucky.

Over twenty years experience in the jewellery trade, from designing and mass producing a successful coin necklace in the naughties to bespoke jewellery for notable people.  I was involved with the supply of jewellery to ITV's Dancing on Ice for many years with Jayne Torville wearing my jewellery season, after season.  I love what I do and this is apparent with my teaching, my passion for my field is reflected in my methods and jargon free instruction.  Teaching has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career showing the next generation that traditional methods will not be replaced by CAD or AI.  I like cats a lot, so you may see Ralph the farm cat in the studio giving his best Catitude to my clients and students.  Out of the studio I like to visit art galleries and exhibitions, this is reflected in my work and one off pieces.
