Fundamental start to jewellery making Week course
5 Day Intensive Jewellery School - Fundamental Jewellery Skills.
Monday - Friday
This is a five day intensive course for anyone wanting to make jewellery. You do not need to have any experience or knowledge. Teaching is relaxed and expertly given with handouts for your later reference. You’ll be working at a steady pace. With just you in the room you will benefit from one on one tuition and have the opportunity to ask as many questions as you want.
You will learn the fundamental skills of manufacturing jewellery.
This is an ideal course for anyone wanting to start a jewellery making career or a keen hobbyist.
Modules will include:
Soldering
Piercing metal
Texturing
Wire drawing and rolling
Fretwork
Melting Metal
If we can do more, we will! Which will include
Metal forming doming and
Granulation
All materials (base metal) and equipment will be provided as well as as much refreshment as you can drink!
By the end of the course you will be able to:
Learn how to be sustainable with your making and recycle metals
Pierce a name pendant.
Make a set of stacking rings
Make a wire bangle
Solder, file and prepare for polishing.
You will be making in copper and brass.
Teaching by Sappho Brammer a gradute of distinction of the British Academy of Jewellery as well as some special guests from the jewellery industry (subject to availability)

PLEASE BRING:
Your tools, files , an apron, a hair band for long hair, lots of saw blades and a packet of 0.8mm and 1mm drill bits. My pendant motors are the smaller 2.3mm shank
